A new Star Wars experience will arrive at Hong Kong Disneyland next month.
The new ‘Star Wars: Tomorrowland Takeover’ will start on 11 June, and as the name suggests, it will see the theme park’s Tomorrowland zone transformed into a Star Wars universe.
The Space Mountain ride will be renamed “Hyperspace Mountain”, and will feature a battle between X-wing and Tie fighters, while younger guests can undergo “Jedi Training” and hone their lightsaber skills against Darth Vader and Kylo Ren. Visitors can also join the Resistance in the “Star Wars: Command Post” section.
And the Star Wars theme will extend to the park’s hotels and F&B offerings. Guests staying at the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel or Disney’s Hollywood Hotel will be offered a special package including Star Wars room decorations, and a range of new dishes have been created including Star Wars wonton noodle soup, Millennium Falcon fried rice and a Darth Vader burger combo.
