Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) set a new monthly record for flight movements in March 2015.
The airport recorded 34,310 take-offs and landings last month, 5.7% more than in March 2014.
Monthly passenger traffic climbed 11.4% year-on-year to 5.74 million, driven by an 18% rise in transfer traffic and strong demand for routes to and from North Asia and Southeast Asia.
The airport also set a new daily record for flight movements on 3 April 2015, with a total of 1,210 take-offs and landings, driven by a rise in Easter holiday traffic.
For the first quarter of 2015, HKIA handled a total of 16.4m passengers and 98,890 flight movements, up 8.8% and 5.3%, respectively.
