Hong Kong Airlines will offer its passengers the chance to fly to Mauritius, following the signing of a new codeshare agreement.
The carrier has penned a deal with Air Mauritius that will allow it to sell Air Mauritius’ twice-weekly direct flights between Hong Kong and Mauritius. Flights depart Hong Kong International Airport every Tuesday and Saturday, while the return flights from Mauritius leave every Thursday and Sunday.
“We are extremely delighted to partner with Air Mauritius. This agreement enables us to maximise the travel opportunities offered to passengers as our network further expands across continents to the Indian Ocean,” said Li Dianchun, commercial director of Hong Kong Airlines.
Air Mauritius’ chairman, Dr Arjoon Suddhoo, commented that the expansion of Asian routes is “key” to his company’s strategy.
“Destinations like Hong Kong have grown to become important for our network as it gives access to China and other East Asian destinations. We trust that both airlines will fully benefit from the new prospects offered by this collaboration. We will continue to work together and explore other avenues for strengthening this cooperation,” Dr Suddhoo said.
Tickets for the codeshare flights go on sale today.
