The St Regis Venice
St Regis Hotels & Resorts has announced the debut of The St Regis Venice, located steps away from Piazza San Marco and boasting the largest waterfront in Venice.
The opening follows a two-year, full-scale renovation, restoring the grandeur of the former Grand Hotel Britannia, which opened in 1895. The hotel offers 169 guestrooms and suites, many of which boast private terraces or Juliet balconies for sweeping views of Venice’s iconic landmarks.
The hotel’s spacious secluded garden sets the hotel apart, making it a lifestyle destination where guests and locals alike can enjoy remarkable views of the Grand Canal. The St Regis Venice marks the brand’s third location in Italy, joining The St Regis Florence and The St Regis Rome.
“Re-interpreting Venice’s rich history through a modern lens”
“Venice is one of the world’s most inimitable cities; one which has inspired royalty, artists, merchants and jet setters alike for more than fifteen centuries,” said Jenni Benzaquen, vice president of luxury brands – Europe, Marriott International. “The St Regis Venice unites the captivating spirit of the city with the timeless sophistication and service of the brand, re-interpreting Venice’s rich history through a modern lens.”
Pullman Suzhou Zhonghui
Pullman has announced the Suzhou opening as the brand’s 37th hotel in Greater China. As Accor’s upbeat contemporary lifestyle brand, Pullman Suzhou Zhonghui debuts some of the latest innovative experiences within the Art at Play and Meet & Play hallmarks.
Pullman Suzhou Zhonghui is the only international premium hotel in the north of Suzhou, in the city’s up and coming Xiangcheng District. It is close to Suzhou’s high-speed transportation hub with convenient access to Shanghai, Wuxi and neighbouring cities. It offers direct connections to Suzhou North Railway Station and Suzhou Railway Station, with plans for further development of a nearby express highway and subway lines to link key areas in the vicinity.
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Houston
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants has announced a new partnership within Houston’s cosmopolitan mixed-use development, Laneways, developed by lifestyle and real estate developer, Caydon. Expanding Kimpton’s presence in Texas, the project will be the first boutique hotel in Midtown and is scheduled to open at the end of 2022.
Located near downtown and in the heart of Houston’s Innovation Corridor, the hotel will provide easy access to iconic Houston attractions such as the Galleria Mall, the world-class museum and theatre districts, as well as Minute Maid Park and Reliant Stadium. Key business locations, including the Texas Medical Center and the Convention Center, will also be within a short distance to the hotel.
The Adnate, Perth
Accor has opened the doors to its ninth Art Series hotel, The Adnate, which stands adjacent to Perth’s luxury and lifestyle destination of King Street in the city centre.
Welcoming its first guests, the 250-room colourful and soulful hotel is an open invitation of hospitality and discovery and promises to inspire guests with ‘the art of dreaming big’. Inspired by the powerful multicultural portraiture of renowned Australian big wall street artist Matt Adnate, the hotel features one of the world’s largest ‘mega murals’ – a monumental artwork spanning 25 storeys; the largest ever painted by Adnate and the tallest mural in the Southern Hemisphere.
