Another week has come to pass, and as usual, we’ve been curating the hottest hotel openings around the world — from the white sands of the Caribbean to the Beyoglu district in Istanbul. See our list below, with new properties from Silversands Grenada, Hilton, Barceló Hotel Group, IHG and Le Sereno.

Silversands Grenada

Silversands Grenada

A new member of the Leading Hotels of the World, Silversands Grenada offers five-star amenities and authentic Grenadian experiences.

Launched this month on the ivory white sands of Grand Anse beach, the luxury resort lets travellers experience the unspoiled island of Grenada — the ‘Spice of the Caribbean’. Sleek and modern in its design unlike anything else in the Caribbean, the all-suite resort and residential project will provide a chic luxury experience, as well as the opportunity to purchase a slice of paradise with Grenadian citizenship included.

Hilton Guadalajara Midtown

Hilton Guadalajara Midtown

Hilton Guadalajara Midtown, now open, is the Hilton brand’s second hotel in Guadalajara and eighth property in Mexico.

Situated in the city’s financial and business district, the 225-room hotel in Guadalajara features a swimming pool, fitness centre, signature restaurant, two bars and more than 1,070 square metres of flexible event space, including 10 meeting rooms and artfully designed ballrooms.

Conveniently located less than 12 miles from Guadalajara International Airport, Hilton Guadalajara Midtown provides access to Plaza del Sol Shopping Centre as well as neighbouring markets and attractions such as Teatro Degollado, Lake Chapala and Expiatory Temple. Guests can also take the famed Tequila Tour by train from Guadalajara to Tequila Jalisco.

Barceló Istanbul

Barceló Istanbul

Also now open is Barceló Hotel Group’s third hotel in Turkey, sitting alongside Occidental The Public and Occidental Pera Istanbul.

The five-star Barceló Istanbul is located in the Beyoglu district, next to the Taksim Square. It features 270 rooms and suites, a 1,500 sqm wellness centre and a rooftop gym that’s the only one of its kind in the city. On the rooftop is The B-Heaven bar which provides the perfect spot for exclusive parties and events.

For MICE guests, the hotel has four meeting rooms and an Executive Lounge with the capacity to host up to 600 people.

voco St David’s Cardiff

voco St David’s Cardiff

IHG’s new upscale brand voco has made its European debut with the opening of voco St David’s Cardiff, five months after the brand was launched.

The 142-room hotel sits on Cardiff Bay, with floor-to-ceiling views of the waterfront and private balconies to maximise the coastal setting. It provides guests with a tranquil place to stay while being close to the city centre of the Welsh capital.

With eight different meeting spaces, the hotel’s team can cater to a variety of events – from weddings of up to 220 guests to corporate meetings for up to 400 people.

Le Sereno

Le Sereno

Le Sereno, designed by celebrated French interior designer Christian Liaigre, will re-open this December with new suites, restaurant, family suites, spa and fitness facilities.

The resort is nestled on the quieter north-east side of the island on a nature reserve, with turtles regularly swimming past; a regular backdrop for Victoria Secrets shoots and one of the number one wedding venues on the island.
