IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts has refurbished the IBEROSTAR Playa de Muro, one of the company’s flagship properties in the Balearics, following an investment of 12 million euros.
The goal was to give the hotel’s facilities a complete facelift, modernising them to meet new tourist demands and requirements.
This 4-star Premium hotel, located on the bay of Alcudia, has reopened to the public during the 30th anniversary of the inauguration of its first hotels in the Balearics, one of which was IBEROSTAR Playa de Muro.
The company has renovated and modernized the complex’s 447 rooms, its terraces and other communal areas, like its restaurants, gymnasium and swimming pool. These last two amenities now also have a new sun terrace, pool with bubble jets and Aqua Splash waterpark for the kids.
One of the key improvements is to the catering facilities and the hotel will feature a new restaurant specialising in signature cuisine, called GUST, the latest new initiative by famous Mallorcan chef Santi Taura which is set to become an attraction for all food enthusiasts.
IBEROSTAR Playa de Muro will also have a new buffet restaurant called Dunas, complementing the service offered by Dunas Bar on the beach. Likewise, it has created a new concept of a beer parlour in the hotel’s original-looking lobby.
The hotel’s leisure facilities and activities have been upgraded with the SPA Sensations’ exclusive treatments and massages and its swimming pools and saunas.
The hotel’s sporting activities have been extended, with professional shows, tennis, a gymnasium with a new fitness room and TRX, a golf course and cycling.
