Iranian carrier Mahan Air has continued its expansion in China with the launch of services to Beijing.

The new route commenced earlier this month, operating three times a week using a 292-seat, two-class Airbus A340-300 aircraft.

Services will now depart Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 1830, arriving at Beijing’s Capital International Airport at 0545 the following day. The return leg will then take off at 0040 every Thursday, Sunday and Tuesday, arriving in Tehran at 0540.

Beijing becomes Mahan Air’s 14th international destination and its third in China, following Shanghai and Guangzhou.

It is also the third new route launched by Mahan Air in recent months, following the Tehran-Yerevan and Shiraz-Dubai services, which commenced in summer 2014.
