Istanbul has been named Best MICE Destination Europe at the Business Destination Travel Awards.
Istanbul Convention and Visitors Bureau general manager Ozgul Ozkan Yavuz said: “We are extremely proud and honoured that Istanbul [has been recognised] as the Best MICE Destination Europe. The award highlights our strong team commitment and global campaign in working within the business and travel sector and becoming the discerning traveller’s choice.”
The event, which is in its sixth year, recognises organisations and destinations that set the benchmark for business and travel.
Nominations were reviewed by a panel of consultants located in 144 countries.
In 2014, more than 450,000 individual votes were cast by travel professionals and clients.
