JAL signs interline agreement with Virgin America
Japan Airlines (JAL) has signed a new interline agreement with Virgin America.
JAL offers daily services from Virgin America’s home base at San Francisco to Tokyo Haneda and daily direct flights between Los Angeles and Tokyo Narita. The interline deal will enable passengers to connect from these flights to Virgin America’s North America network or JAL’s Asian network. Both airlines will transfer baggage between connecting flights.
“We are pleased to enter this interline agreement with Virgin America,” said Koichi Fukunuga, JAL’s Senior Director of Route Planning. “It will expand the network of flights that customers can easily ticket on and therefore provide them with greater convenience when they fly between Asia and North America.”
Interline tickets for Virgin America and JAL connecting flights can now be booked through all the major GDSs.
