Jetstar will begin operating direct services from Bali to Adelaide in December.
Commencing on 18 December 2013, in time for the Christmas holidays, the new service will operate three times a week (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays) using an Airbus A320 aircraft.
“We know that travellers all across Australia love to holiday in Bali,” said Jetstar Australia’s CEO, David Hall. “We see many South Australian customers booking flights to Bali via Perth or Darwin so it’s clear there is demand for a direct service.
“The introduction of a non-stop service reduces the travel time by up to five hours allowing our customers to make the most of their holiday.”
The launch of the Adelaide-Bali route will follow the introduction of Jetstar’s first international route from Adelaide, to Auckland, which was previously announced in September.
The Adelaide-Auckland route will commence on 16 December 2013, also flying every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday using an A320.
