Head of Sports Travel Responsibilities

• Expanding the sporting events, products and hospitality experiences on offer
• Lead on the contracting, commercial negotiations and supplier relations to ensure optimal terms and best proactive are followed
• Lead the sales and operations team to achieve optimal results and the highest levels of customer service
• Draw on the resources from trade sales and marketing teams to strengthen the brands position in the market and deliver sales through multi-channels ie direct, travel trade, corporate, groups / MICE etc.
• Continually analyse and monitor both sales pipeline, margins and profitability
• Attend some of the major events to meet with suppliers and develop relationships with regular customers to encourage repeat bookings.

Head of Sports Travel Skills Required

• Leadership experience gained preferably in a sport travel, groups touring or events business with a passion for sport
• A commercial, sales and product management background would most likely suit the requirements of this role
• A confident negotiator with commercial acumen
• Ability to build out travel and sporting products and drive sales through multi-channels
• Flexible to travel internationally at various points throughout the year to attend some of the key sporting events
