Kenya Airways to launch Vietnam’s first African link

Kenya Airways will become the first airline to fly direct between Africa and Vietnam this month.
Commencing on 30 March 2015, the airline will operate three weekly flights between Nairobi and Hanoi. Services will depart the Kenyan capital every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, returning from Hanoi the following day.
“Vietnam has shown a considerable and stable economic growth over recent years, including an increase in trade with Africa. As the first airline to directly connect Vietnam to Africa, we are sure to leverage on this growth,” said Kenya Airways’ group managing director & CEO, Mbuvi Ngunze.
“Together with our SkyTeam partner Vietnam Airlines, we are very confident the addition of Hanoi to our network will be a success.”
Kenya Airways will serve the Hanoi route with its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft which seats 234 passengers – 30 in business class and 204 in economy.
