The former Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur has been taken over by AccorHotels and rebranded as a Pullman.
The new Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences was officially relaunched on 1 August, becoming the upscale brand’s second property in KL and its fourth in Malaysia.
Located in the central Bukit Bintang area of the city, the hotel offers 445 rooms and 157 serviced apartments. Facilities at the hotel include a fitness centre, kids’ club and outdoor pool, plus six F&B outlets and 12 function rooms, including a 580m² ballroom.
It will now undergo a full refurbishment over the next two years to bring it into line with Pullman’s brand standards. The property will remain open throughout the renovation.
“We are very excited to add this much-loved hotel to the fast-growing Pullman network,” said Michael Issenberg, chairman & CEO of AccorHotels Asia Pacific.
“The number of high-profile hotels that have rebranded to Pullman in recent months, including The Park Lane Hong Kong, the former Hilton on the Park in Melbourne and now the Prince in Kuala Lumpur, is testament to the brand’s ability to meet the needs of today’s ‘global nomads’.”
Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences joins the Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar, Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside and Pullman Kuching in the brand’s Malaysian portfolio.
It also becomes the 56th Pullman in Asia Pacific, with 40 more hotels expected to open in the region in the next few years.
One of these will be the new Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit, which will be rebranded from the former Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Bangkok.
