Lufthansa is celebrating fifty years servicing Kuwait and just last year, just last year the passenger numbers between both countries climbed above 100,000 passengers.
The airline commenced services on 5 July 1963, when the first Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt landed in Kuwait – A Boeing 720 B reached Kuwait City after taking off in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt with stops in Rome (Italy) and Cairo (Egypt). The flight then continued to Karachi (Pakistan), Calcutta (India), Bangkok (Thailand), Hong Kong and Tokyo (Japan) – an extensive but normal routing during the 1960s.
