Carnival Cruise Lines has announced it will resume year-round departures from Baltimore after Carnival Pride completes a multi-million dollar makeover.
The ship is currently based at the US port and will remain there until October when it will enter a drydock period from 19 October to 9 November.
During that time the ship will be fitted with various Fun Ship 2.0 features including Guy’s Burger Joint; BlueIguana Cantina; Bonsai Sushi; WaterWworks; Hasbro, Game Show; EA Sports bar, Cherry on Top and much more.
Carnival Pride will also be fitted with ‘scrubber’ technology which reduces the ship’s carbon emissions.
It will be positioned in Tampa for the winter season before embarking on a 14-day repositioning cruise from Tampa to Baltimore from 15-29 March 2015.
The ship will then return to Baltimore in March offering year-round, seven-day cruises in the Caribbean.
“Baltimore is a convenient mid-Atlantic embarkation point for ‘Fun Ship’ cruising and we’re pleased to resume these attractive year-round departures which offer our guests an opportunity to visit a variety of beautiful, tropical destinations,” said Gerry Cahill, Carnival’s president and CEO.
