Malaysia Airlines (MAS) has refurbished its lounge at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Following three months of renovation work, the 4,000m² lounge in KLIA’s Satellite Terminal now features seating for more than 400 passengers.

It is split into two sections, with the Platinum lounge including premium F&B facilities, a cigar room, four private sleeping areas, six shower units and a nursery, and the Business lounge including a deli, noodle bar, daybeds, showers and a games room. Combined facilities also include a business centre with conference room, luggage room, prayer room, children’s play room, a sports bar and a spa.

“Malaysia Airlines is committed to offer our passengers world-class facilities and services. The launching of our Golden Lounge today raises the bar for premium ground products and services even further,” said MAS’ director of customer services, Mohd Salleh Ahmad Tabrani.

“The significant investment in offering the very best to our passengers on-ground and in-flight will continue hence enhancing the overall experience when flying with Malaysia Airlines.”

Meanwhile, the Golden Lounge at Penang International Airport has also now reopened and will be available 24 hours a day.
