Carnival confirmed that its next vessel the 3690-passenger Carnival Breeze will feature the line’s first full service sushi eatery, to be called Bonsai Sushi. To date, Carnival has only served sushi as an appetizer or in take-away sushi bars opened for limited hours. Bonsai Sushi will be located on the Promenade Deck, and will offer a variety of Asian-inspired items including sushi, sashimi along with bento boxes. The venues décor will include Bonsai trees, artwork by graffiti artist Ernie Vales and colourful koi kites.
Carnival also revealed Carnival Breeze will have the line’s first open-air barbecue eatery to be called Fat Jimmy’s C-side BBQ. Also located on the Promenade, Fat Jimmy’s C-side will serve barbecued chicken breasts, kielbasa, Italian sausage, pork sandwiches along with traditional sides such as baked beans, potato salad, and coleslaw and mini-corn muffins. Passengers will not be asked to pay any extra to dine there.
The new eateries are in addition to a number of others previously announced, including the Guy Fieri-branded Guy’s Burger Joint and Mexican eatery Bluelguana Cantina.
Currently in the final stages of construction in Italy, the 130,000 ton ship is scheduled to enter service on 3 June on a regular 12-day Mediterranean schedule from Barcelona.
