Lyon’s first Radisson Blu hotel has officially opened for business. Located on the upper floors of Lyon’s iconic Part-Dieu tower, known locally as “Le Crayon”, boasts stunning views of the city’s historical quarter, the French Alps and Mont Blanc.
“We are delighted to open the Radisson Blu in Lyon, delivering a stylish, sophisticated and iconic hotel offering with great Yes I Can! service. Lyon is an important market in France and Europe, and this hotel opening superbly complements our existing portfolio of 11 Radisson Blu hotels across the country,” says Richard Moore, Area VP, UK, Ireland and Western Europe.
Following an investment of over EUR 40 million, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lyon provides the ideal place to stay for guests on business or leisure. Close to the shopping and business district, the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of great transport links, including the TGV Part-Dieu train station just 300m away, and is next door to the La Part-Dieu Shopping Mall.
All 245 guest rooms offer superb panoramic views of the city, and provide all of the comforts and technology a guest could need, including free high-speed, wireless Internet. The décor is neutral with color splashes of violet or saffron; and as a tribute to the history and heritage of the city of Lyon – every room includes a specially woven framed silk.
The hotel’s meeting space is located on the 32nd floor, benefitting from natural daylight throughout, 360 degree views, and high-tech equipment. The 11 meeting rooms, spread over 500 sqm can be customised to welcome groups of up to 350 guests for any meetings, conferences or private events.
