Dubai is to get a new tower that will be “comparable” to Burj Khalifa and the Eifel Tower, according to developers Emaar.
The new project will be the centrepiece of Dubai Creek Harbour project, which has been approved by Dubai Ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
None of the details of the tower’s height or name have been revealed, but architect Santiago Calatrava Valls has designed the building.
Once completed, it will be linked to the central island district of Dubai Creek Harbour and will include a “vibrant 4.5km creek boardwalk offering an array of retail, dining, leisure and entertainment choices”, according to a statement by Emaar.
