Hong Kong-based Rosewood Hotel Group has launched a new hotel in Manila.
The New World Manila Bay Hotel opened its doors on 1 January 2015, becoming the company’s second property in the Philippine capital.
Located close to convention centres and retail areas, including the Mall of Asia, the new hotel offers 376 rooms and suites, including executive floors and a club lounge.
Six F&B options include a steakhouse and Cantonese restaurant with private dining rooms and a wine cellar, plus a pool bar and pastry shop. There is also an outdoor 25-metre lap pool, a fitness centre and a spa with 10 treatment rooms, while the hotel is also attached to a 14,000m² casino.
For the MICE market, New World Manila Bay comes equipped with a 630m² ballroom and four other function rooms.
“We are delighted to join New World Hotels & Resorts’ portfolio of deluxe properties and expand the reach of its modern Oriental hospitality in the Philippines’ capital,” says Mark Heywood, general manager of the hotel.
The hotel was formerly known as the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Casino Manila, and will now be renovated to bring it into line with New World‘s brand standards.
