Novotel London Canary WharfThe Novotel London Canary Wharf, a 39-storey hotel offering 360 degree views across London, opened this week.

It has 313 rooms, 26 individually designed suites, New York-style gym and pool, nine design meeting rooms inspired by the goods brought in to the docks, ground floor coffee shop and contemporary bar and restaurant with rooftop terrace.

The Gallery has a feature staircase to the upper levels of the public areas. Suspended by copper vertical rods and with heavy solid character oak steps, the staircase is the centrepiece to the hotel’s industrial design influenced by Canary Wharf’s maritime history.

Check-in and check-out is facilitated on tablets rather than at a reception desk; instead, guests are met by ‘Welcomers’ with their key.

Thomas Dubaere, managing director, AccorHotels UK and Ireland, said: “Novotel London Canary Wharf is a hotel where you immediately feel welcome. It gives you a truly different experience on every floor.”

Masterminded by LRW and interiors agency Koncept, the hotel is moving away from its usual design to take on a bespoke look and feel, setting a new benchmark for Novotel globally.
