Oman Air will continue its expansion in Southeast Asia next month, with the launch of a new daily direct service to Kuala Lumpur.
The airline launched its KL service in 2010, with flights operating via Bangkok. But from 21 June 2015, the Muscat-KL flights will operate direct, departing Oman’s capital every day at 0900 and arriving in KL at 2010. The return service leaves the Malaysian city at 0945 the next day, arriving back in Muscat at 1230.
“Oman Air is delighted to be once again increasing the convenience and range of choices that we offer. Our new non-stop service between Muscat and Kuala Lumpur will be warmly welcomed by customers in both Oman and Malaysia, as well as those from further afield,” said Oman Air’s chief operating officer, Abdulrahman Al-Busaidy.
“Malaysia is a very popular destination with passengers from both Oman and locations throughout our international network. With the holiday season for many countries starting in June, and the Eid holidays following in July, we anticipate very strong demand for flights to Malaysia from throughout the Middle East and Europe.”
The launch of direct flights to KL comes just seven months after Oman Air added two new Southeast Asian destinations to its route map, Manila and Jakarta, and two months after the launch of flights to Singapore.
