Oman Air has held a major emergency response exercise in Muscat.
The exercise got together senior managers, operational team leaders and an eight member exercise control team to test strength of the airline’s emergency response plan.
Upon activation, participating managers were instructed to attend the airline’s Emergency Response Centre (ERC) and Local Incident Control Centre (LICC) at Zanzibar, where they received information about simulated emergency.
A two member team from Kenyon International Emergency Services oversaw the event. The company coordinated its support functions from its Emergency Centre in Bracknell UK. The entire exercise was monitored from the ERC by Oman Air chief executive officer Paul Gregorowitsch.
