On The Go Tours has launched what it describes as the ultimate bucket list tour – a round-the-world adventure to the New Seven Wonders of the World.
From the great Colosseum in Rome, Italy, to Christ the Redeemer towering over Rio De Janeiro in Brazil, the tour provides travellers with the opportunity to marvel at some of the planet’s most extraordinary man-made structures.
The action-packed 25-day tour spans five continents and eight iconic cities including Cairo for the Great Pyramids, granted honorary status as the last remaining of the ancient wonders. Departing from London, the first stop is Rome. From there, travellers will embark on a voyage to the Pyramids of Giza – Egypt, before proceeding to the Rose City of Petra, Jordan. After visiting the Lost City, tour-goers will be able to take some time to soak in the curative waters of the Dead Sea.
On day 11, travellers arrive in India and the bustling city of Delhi spending the night here ahead of the four hour journey to Agra to visit the Taj Mahal. Heading further east, the next stop is the Great Wall of China.
The journey continues to Mexico, home to the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza and its mystical temples and step pyramid. Up next, is the beautiful city of Cuzco, a Peruvian treasure littered with Inca monuments and colonial buildings. The tour here includes a scenic train ride across the Andes Mountains to the Inca wonder of Machu Picchu.
The final stop on the wonders tour is Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – this year’s Olympic host and home of the iconic Christ the Redeemer, a 30 metre-tall figure that sits atop the Corcovado Mountain at an altitude of 700 metres. As the tour comes to an end there is free time for independent exploration of the city’s vibrant local history and art, and downtime on Rio’s legendary beaches.
With prices starting from £6,000 per person based on two people travelling, the tour includes all flights and transport as outlined below. As with all On The Go Tours, guides are on-hand for the highlights, offering unrivalled knowledge of the different regions.
