Orange County Visitors Association (OCVA) California, has launched its latest lifestyle tourism campaign centered around the celebration of the end of the year, with opportunities for visitors from the Middle East to participate in the annual Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade.

The event, which this year will celebrate its 109th anniversary, sees the houses and villas of Southern California’s rich and famous dressed in elaborate Christmas illuminations, while a flotilla of commercial and private yachts and marine craft are also decorated in festive illumination.

Special boating tours of the harbour take place throughout the month of December, with a special illuminated flotilla parade every night between December 13 – 17, 2017.

“The OC Christmas” package provides visitors from the Middle East special access to join one of the boats or yachts participating in the flotilla, either as part of a group or on a special VIP private boat basis.

As additional value provided to Middle East visitors, the packages also included complimentary VIP shopping experiences and discounts worth over $2,000 at the OC’s leading retail destinations of Fashion Island, Irvine Spectrum and South Coast Plaza.

Ed Fuller, CEO and chairman of Orange County Visitors Association California, said: “Orange County is reaching out to welcome all those that have been nice this year to spoil themselves and their loved ones with special Christmas-themed end of year experiences. This is the first time for Orange County to offer such a package in any market around the world, and we are extremely excited to promote it here in the Middle East. By combining a truly iconic boat parade festival with the OC’s relaxed luxury lifestyle and exciting shopping experiences, we hope as many families as possible from the Middle East can join us to celebrate the festive season.”
