Qantas continues fleet renewal
Qantas has continued its fleet renewal plans with the delivery of a new Boeing 737-800 aircraft – the 115th new aircraft to join the Qantas Group fleet in the past four years.
The new aircraft will offer 168 seats – 12 in business class and 156 in economy – along with on-demand in-flight entertainment in both cabins, seat-to-seat messaging, power points and USB ports.
“Qantas is delighted to welcome yet another next-generation Boeing aircraft into our fleet,” said Qantas Domestic’s CEO, Lyell Strambi. “These aircraft are extremely popular and feature on a variety of routes right across the Qantas domestic and trans-Tasman network.”
The Australian carrier now has 60 B737-800s and another 10 are scheduled to join the Qantas fleet over the next 18 months.
