Qantas has launched a new lounge at Perth International Airport.
The new Qantas Domestic Business Lounge represents a capacity increase of almost 50% compared to the previous facility, with seating for more than 350 people. It features several distinct areas for F&B, work and relaxation.
The lounge was opened in a launch event overseen by Qantas Domestic’s CEO, Andrew David.
“This lounge sets the new benchmark in business travel and represents the future of the Qantas Business Lounge in Australia,” said David.
“The lounge has been designed with our most frequent travellers from WA in mind. It accommodates the mix of corporate, leisure and fly-in fly-out workers with business facilities, a sports lounge to relax and socialise, and dining areas with single and communal seating.”
The new lounge features a large bar area with sports TVs, a further eight large screens dedicated to news channels, toilet and shower facilities, work tables fitted with power and data outlets, Wi-Fi, a meeting room and wireless printing, plus the PressReader service which allows guests to download magazine and newspapers.
In terms of F&B, there is a pizza area, wine bar, buffet, juice station and evening cocktails.
“Perth, and broader Western Australia, is extremely important to our network. We’ve recommenced direct services to Singapore, we are developing our dedicated airport precinct and within the next six months the majority of our east-west flights will be operated by a reconfigured A330,” David said.
