Qantas will start offering a broader range of in-flight entertainment content, following the signing of a partnership with Sky News, Foxtel and Fox Sports.
From next week, passengers will be offered a new range of news, sport, entertainment and lifestyle programmes.
“By partnering with news and entertainment experts like Foxtel and Sky News we’re able to deliver a greater variety of premium content on a more regular basis, just as our customers would experience at home,” said Qantas’ group executive for brand marketing & corporate affairs, Olivia Wirth
“This means multiple, daily news updates seven days a week, 100 hours more TV and movie content, 160 hours of box set viewing, triple the number of new release albums and double the number of blockbusters.”
New programmes being added to Qantas’ IFE content from next week will include Selling Houses Australia, Grand Designs Australia and Coast Australia, plus multiple daily news bulletins and sports highlights packages.
Also, the Australia Channel will start being broadcast live to Qantas’ network of international and domestic lounges.
