UK and Ireland small group tour operator Rabbie’s is today celebrating being named winners of the UK’s highest accolade for business success.
The small group tour company has received the Queen’s Award for International Trade in recognition of outstanding overseas sales growth over the last three years.
Passenger numbers on the company’s scheduled tours have risen 36% since 2011. Ninety percent of its clients are from overseas and the company sells its tours through a multilingual website, as well as through tour operators and local agents overseas.
Robin Worsnop, CEO of Rabbie’s Small Group Tours, said: “We are delighted to receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, particularly for our focus on international trade.
“In 1993, I set up a company with the ambition to enable people to experience the stunning scenery and remarkable history of our country. More than 20 years later, I am extremely proud that each year we continue to attract increasing numbers of overseas visitors and I am thrilled Rabbie’s has been recognised in this field.”
