Radisson Blu has announced its latest opening in Slovenia, the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Ljubljana.

The hotel features 208 rooms, 25 junior suites, two business suites and one executive suite. The building, which has been just converted and re-branded from an existing hotel, is located 4 kilometres from the city centre.

Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Ljubljana is a landmark at night as the avant-garde light design attracts much attention. Besides a large conference center, all rooms have a sizable working area and free high-speed internet.

“We are proud to open the first international upper upscale hotel in Ljubljana,” said Arno Schwalie, area vice president for the Rezidor Hotel Group.

The Ljubljana opening complements Carlson Rezidor’s active expansion in the Eastern European region and emerging markets. Year-to-date, Rezidor signed 37 new hotels with more than 7,000 rooms – 80% of which are in the emerging markets.

Featuring 15 floors, the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Ljubljana dedicated the penthouse and the roof terrace to conferences and events.
