The famous Hollywood Roosevelt hotel in Los Angeles is coming to Macau, with the launch of the new Roosevelt Macau, close to the Cotai Strip.
The new property is being billed as a “jetset retreat” offering a “modern take on Hollywood glam with a 1950s retro twist”.
Set in a 12-storey tower, the Roosevelt Macau will offer 373 rooms and suites, all with balconies, plus four villas. It will also feature a private VIP club with its own wine bar, wine cellar and cigar lounge, plus a private open-air swimming pool and bar designed to host pool parties with DJs. There will also be a movie screening room.
One confirmed restaurant at the new property is Macau’s Jin Yue Xuan brand, which is renowned for Japanese cuisine and Chinese hotpots.
“With the thousands new room inventory opening in Macau in the next years, the shift in the tourist profile visiting Macau – more entertainment, sports and family driven – we believe the developer of the project has thought out of the box and made the right decision in choosing a lifestyle hotel concept for Macau,” said Christophe Vielle of GCP Hospitality, which will operate the hotel.
“The Roosevelt Hotel will bring elegant and glamorous experiences perfectly complementing Asia’s dynamic entertainment capital.”
The Roosevelt Macau will join GCP Hospitality’s portfolio of 18 properties in Asia and the US, including Hotels G in Bangkok, Pattaya, Hong Kong, San Francisco, Suzhou, Shenzhen and Beijing, and The Strand Hotel in Yangon.
The Roosevelt Macau is scheduled to open in early 2016.
