Rosewood Hotel Group has opened a new regional sales office in Bangkok, to support its Southeast Asian expansion plans.
The Hong Kong-based luxury hotel group is planning to open 27 new hotels in the next four years, including 21 in Asia. And it has now appointed David Campbell to lead its expansion in Southeast Asia, as the company’s new Bangkok-based regional director of sales & marketing.
“Establishing a regional sales office in Bangkok is a significant milestone for Rosewood Hotel Group to support our rapid growth,” said May Pendraat Kredner, Rosewood’s vice president of sales and marketing.
“With David at the helm, and by adding Bangkok to our existing sales offices in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai, we are well positioned to capitalise on the strength of our Southeast Asia feeder markets to help us reach our expansion goals.”
Campbell has more than 16 years’ hospitality experience in Asia and most recently served as director of sales & marketing for Rosewood Beijing. His appointment and the Bangkok office launch come just days after Rosewood unveiled plans for its second hotel in Cambodia, to be located in Siem Reap.
