Saga is offering a six-night cruise from Dover on the Saga Pearl II departing April 30, 2017.

It is ideal for new-to-cruise passengers to experience classic cruising with ports of call to Rouen, in France; Falmouth, in Cornwall and St Peter Port in Guernsey. Saga Pearl II will moor overnight in Rouen and Falmouth.

Saga’s Cruise Planner James Langley said: “If I had to pick one cruise next year that offers unique experiences, the kind you can only enjoy on a small ship like Saga Pearl II, this would be it.”

On leaving Dover, Saga Pearl II crosses the Channel for a scenic cruise along the River Seine to Rouen, the ‘city of 100 spires’.

Saga Pearl II sails back to the UK for an overnight mooring in Falmouth where guests can walk into town, seek out Henry VIII’s imposing clifftop castles or visit various gardens from the subtropical Trebah Gardens, the Lost Gardens of Heligan or the innovative Eden Project.

A visit to Guernsey awaits, a Channel Island that enjoys more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year. Sail into the capital, St Peter Port, and stroll straight into the town, enjoy a ramble across the cliffs to look out over Pea Stacks, an important breeding ground for seabirds, or take a round-the-island tour and stop for a classic cream tea.
