India’s Sarovar Hotels has continued to expand its African portfolio with the signing of its first ever property in Zambia.

The Sarovar Premiere Lusaka is an 82-key all-suite hotel located in the centre of Zambia’s capital city. Scheduled to open in 2018, the upscale property will also feature a restaurant, bar and outdoor dining area, plus a spa, swimming pool and conference facilities.

The signing of the new Sarovar Premiere Lusaka marks the latest stage on the company’s African expansion strategy. The Mumbai-based hotel group now has a presence in five countries in Africa: Tanzania, Kenya, South Sudan, Ethiopia and Zambia.

These form part of a total collection of 75 hotels in 50 destinations, mainly in India, under Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico, Hometel brands.
