Following the launch of its inaugural flights to India earlier this year, Scoot has now dedicated one of its aircraft to the Indian market.
The Singaporean low-cost carrier’s latest Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft has been named “KarmaScootra”, in a cheeky nod to the ancient Indian text on sexual behaviour.
Following its delivery, the 335-seat B787-8 aircraft will be deployed on Scoot’s latest Indian route from Singapore to Jaipur.
Flights will commence on 2 October 2016 and will operate three times a week (Mondays, Fridays and Sundays). This will become the first direct connection between Singapore and Jaipur, the “Pink City” in Rajasthan.
Scoot first started flying to India earlier this year, with direct services to Chennai and Amritsar.
