Singapore Airlines passengers will now be able to connect to Croatia, following the launch of a new partnership with the country’s national carrier.
Croatia Airlines, which, like SIA, is a member of the Star Alliance, has agreed to allow the Singaporean carrier to place its ‘SQ’ flight code on its routes to Zagreb from London and Copenhagen. In return, SIA will let Croatia Airlines place its ‘OU’ code on SIA’s flights to Singapore from London and Copenhagen.
This will offer passengers of both airlines one-stop connections between Singapore and Zagreb.
“We are delighted with our new codeshare agreement with Croatia Airlines. This partnership will improve connectivity between Singapore and Croatia, which is growing in popularity as a leisure and business destination,” said SIA’s senior vice president of marketing planning, Lee Wen Fen.
“It reflects our commitment to offer our customers seamless connections and greater flexibility when planning their travel itineraries.”
Croatia Airlines currently operates five weekly flights on the Zagreb-Copenhagen route and daily Zagreb-London services. SIA meanwhile, offers three daily flights to London and five weekly flights to Copenhagen.
