Silversea Cruises is now taking reservations for its World Cruise 2017, an exclusive 116-day ocean voyage from San Francisco to Monte Carlo on board Silver Whisper.
The mammoth cruise will encompass 62 unique destinations in 25 countries, with numerous late-night and overnight stays.
Departing 6 January, 2017, the all-suite Silver Whisper will sail from San Francisco Bay for Hawaii and cross the International Date Line to the South Pacific, New Zealand, and Australia. The ship then heads to Bali and Sandakan, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore, before setting a course for India, the Gulf and the Mediterranean.
“World voyages are all about cultural immersion, new discoveries, and having time to get to know your fellow travellers,” said Lisa McAuley, commercial director, UK and Ireland. “Our intimate Silver Whisper accommodates just 382 guests, providing the perfect ambiance where guests can mingle and form lasting friendships as they experience some of the most fascinating and secluded places on Earth.”
Guests sailing the full 116 days of World Cruise 2017 will enjoy a variety of special amenities, including a gala Bon Voyage reception, dinner and overnight stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco, baggage valet service, business class air and transfers (between airport, hotel, and Silver Whisper), a $4,000 Onboard Spending Credit (per double-occupancy suite), complimentary laundry service, and commemorative gifts. Plus, Silversea is enhancing the perks in 2017 with the addition of complimentary dry cleaning service and free unlimited Wi-Fi for all full-cruise guests.
In addition, three on shore events will be available on a complimentary basis to full-cruise guests. These events offer the opportunity to explore the site of China’s famed terracotta army of warriors in Xian on an overnight tour from Shanghai; witness free-roaming exotic animals on Sir Bani Yas island off the coast of Abu Dhabi, followed by lunch at the island’s resort; and dance back to the 1940s with live music at a nostalgic dinner served amid the planes and heroes of Hangar 37, the entry point to Hawaii’s Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbour. Also, two Silversea Experiences will be complimentary for guests sailing 50 or more days: a beach party featuring lunch and entertainment set on the white sands of Boracay Island and an exclusive presentation at Malta’s Teatru Manoel, a beautifully restored 18th-century theatre.
Guests will also have the chance to meet and mingle with distinguished destination experts, academics, journalists, diplomats and other specialists. Local entertainment, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings, and regional specialities will provide further immersion in each global destination.
All-inclusive fares for World Cruise 2017 start at £39,750 per person, based on double occupancy. To view the complete itinerary, visit http://www.silversea.com/destinations/world-cruise/world-cruise-2017/
