St. Kitts’ Tourism Authority announced that Six Senses resort is set to open in 2021.
St. Kitts is one of the two-island nations in the Eastern Caribbean. On 17 May, the minister of tourism for St. Kitts, the Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant, met with nearly 30 members of the Six Senses team.
The hotel resort, which will be a Caribbean and Latin America debut for the Six Senses brand, is scheduled to open in the last quarter of 2021.
Six Senses resort with projected 70 pool villas and The Retreat will nestle on 41 acres of a former sugar plantation in the La Vallee area of St. Kitts.
Grant said: “It is exciting to see the team already hard at work to create what is sure to become an exceptional product and to see how passionate they are about what they’re doing. The Six Senses property will add yet another signature hotel brand to our growing portfolio of accommodations, which includes a number of top lifestyle hotel brands opening in the next few years that is unparalleled in the Eastern Caribbean. “
“Furthermore, it will provide significant economic benefits for the people of the Federation including the creation of over 300 jobs for our local citizens in the construction phases alone with several hundred more becoming available once the hotel is open,” he added.
The Six Senses resort is a project of Range Developments, which also led the development of the Park Hyatt St. Kitts Christophe Harbour, which opened in November 2017.
St. Kitts Tourism Authority has also announced plans for a Ritz-Carlton Resort to open in 2021.
