Jeju Air, the South Korean low-cost carrier, will launch its first flights to Beijing next month.
Commencing on 13 February 2015, the airline will operate three weekly flights to the Chinese capital from Daegu, a city in the southeast of South Korea.
Flights will depart Daegu every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and return from Beijing early the following morning. The route will be operated using a Boeing 737 aircraft.
Jeju Air has set its sights on expanding in China and Southeast Asia this year. The LCC plans to take delivery of another four new aircraft in 2015, boosting its total fleet size to 21 B737s.
This will enable it to add more routes to its existing network, which includes the Chinese city of Qingdao and the Southeast Asian hubs of Phnom Penh, Cebu, Manila and Bangkok.
