St. Kitts Tourism Authority (SKTA) has completed its third agent training event with Barrhead Travel.
For the third year running, SKTA partnered with the Scottish travel agency; offering a training day, media lunch and announcing new activities, accommodation and food experiences.
SKTA also announced the opening of the Park Hyatt hotel, which will be coming to the island in November.
On Wednesday 30 August agents from Barrhead Travel took part in sessions at its flagship stores in Oswald Street and St. Vincent Street to learn about St. Kitts’ offering.
Following the passage of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, St. Kitts & Nevis sustained minimal damage and the destination is open and welcoming visitors.
Racquel Brown, CEO of SKTA, said: “We are pleased to have been able to work so closely with Barrhead Travel over the last three years and continue our successful work together. This programme has helped to enhance the agents’ knowledge and awareness of St Kitts. This in turn helps us to communicate St. Kitts’ fruitful offering across Barrhead Travel’s trade, consumer and media network. We look forward to continuing this partnership in the coming years.”
Sharon Munro, CEO of Barrhead Travel, added: “St Kitts is a truly unique destination with unrivalled natural beauty and a unique warm and welcoming culture. The Glasgow press lunch hosted by Barrhead Travel and the St. Kitts Tourism Authority was a great success and brought fantastic interest from the guests. Barrhead Travel has a great working relationship with the SKTA and we will continue to recommend this beautiful destination to our customers.”
