Starwood Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Four Points hotel in Jakarta.
The new Four Points Jakarta Thamrin is located on Jalan MH Thamrin in Jakarta’s central business district, not far from the Selamat Datang roundabout.
It features 164 rooms, all of which come equipped with free Wi-Fi and 43-inch LED TVs, plus a restaurant, a bar serving craft beers, a 24-hour fitness centre and three meeting rooms.
“Built for the smart, independent business traveller, Four Points continues to offer our guests exactly what they need while on the road,” said Vincent Ong, Four Points’ senior director of Asia Pacific brand management. “We are excited to open Four Points in… Jakarta, one of the fastest growing cities in Southeast Asia, and continuing the immense growth momentum of the brand in the region.”
The new hotel becomes the sixth Four Points in Indonesia, joining two existing properties in Bali and others in Surabaya, Makassar and Bandung. And the brand’s nationwide expansion will continue in the coming years, with plans for new Four Points hotels to open in Manado, Bintan and Ubud, Bali’s cultural centre, by the end of 2018.
In total, Starwood now operate nine hotels in Jakarta under its Aloft, Four Points, Le Meridien, Luxury Collection, Sheraton and Tribute Portfolio brands. New Westin and W hotels are also scheduled to open in the city in the coming months and years.
