Indonesia’s Tauzia Hotel Management has broken ground on a new hotel project in Bogor, West Java.
Once complete, the new Harris Resort Bogor will feature 300 rooms, a café, juice bar, wedding chapel, meeting rooms, function hall, spa, fitness centre and a water park. It will also become the tallest building in Bogor.
The company’s Director, Christophe Glass said the new hotel would cater primarily to the corporate and MICE market, as well as “weekenders” from Jakarta, which is a 45-minute drive from Bogor.
There are currently 11 Harris hotels operating in Indonesia and another 22 under development. By 2014, Tauzia expects to have a portfolio of 33 Harris hotels comprising 6,087 rooms.
