Indonesia’s Tauzia Hotel Management has celebrated the completion of construction work on its new budget hotel in Tangerang, West Java.
The topping out ceremony for the Pop Hotel BSD Tangerang was attended by representatives of management firm Tauzia, the owning company, architecture and engineering firms.
The new hotel is located in the Sunburst area of Serpong, in south Tangerang, 45 minutes from Jakarta’s Soekharno-Hatta International Airport. It will feature 160 rooms and meeting facilities, and will open before the end of 2012.
“Pop Hotel BSD Tangerang is the sixth Pop hotel,” said Marc Steinmeyer, Tauzia’s President Director. “Tauzia Hotel Management will not be just the operator but we will enter the new era where we invest as well in this upcoming hotel.”
The portfolio of Pop hotels in Indonesia is expected to increase to 32 properties by the end of 2014, with plans to add nine extra properties in Jakarta, eight in Bali and six in Surabaya, as well as new openings in Yogyakarta, Bandar Lampung, Solo, Makassar, Balikpapan and Semarang.
