Lisa Braithwaite has joined the Grenada Tourism Authority

Lisa Braithwaite has joined the Grenada Tourism Authority as travel trade account manager. Braithwaite is responsible for face to face tour operator and travel agent training including fam trips and webinars. She previously worked for advertising agency Mother London Ltd.

Flavia Alzetta has been appointed senior vice president for global sales and marketing at GTA. Alzetta has previously spent 14 years at American Express most recently as vice president of B2B merchant services for Europe.

Philip Michie has been announced as UK director of business development for Wings Travel Management. Based in Aberdeen, Michie brings experience from roles at Griffin Global Group and Carlson Wagonlit Travel. He will aim to grow Wings’ client base in Aberdeen and across the UK.

Mario Bodini has been named as the new chairman of ETOA, after Patrick Richards stepped down. Bodini is executive vice president of JacTravel and will aim to help take away barriers impacting competitiveness.

Paul Roberts has been appointed chief financial officer at bmi regional. Roberts was previously CFO at Skywest Airlines in Australia and previous to that spent 17 years in senior financial roles in both UK and Australian aviation and tourism businesses.

Alan Parker CBE has been announced as non-executive chairman of Park Resorts. Parker takes up the role with immediate effect joining from Whitbread where he worked for 20 years. He is currently a non-executive director of Burger King Worldwide and president of the British Hospitality Association.

 

Eszter Ungar has been appointed head of corporate affairs for Europe at Etihad Airways. Ungar joins the airline from The Boeing Company and has also held roles at GE and Hill & Knowlton. She will be based in Berlin and handle the airline’s brand and reputation in Europe.

 

Alejandro Bernabe has been confirmed as the new chief executive officer of Kempinski Hotels. Bernabe worked in Switzerland, South Africa, France and Sri Lanka, before joining Kempinski in 1998 as pre-opening F&B manager. He was responsible for spearheading the group’s development efforts in Southeast Asia in 2013.
