KATERINA GIANNOUKA has been appointed as Rosewood Hotel Group‘s new vice president of development for Asia Pacific & China, spearheading the growth of the Rosewood, New World and pentahotels brands. She arrives from Starwood, where she was senior director of development & acquisitions for EMEA.
CHARLES JACK has been named as the new general manager of the Westin Tokyo. A career hotelier, Jack’s Starwood career started 26 years ago at the Sheraton Hobart, and he has since held roles at the company’s hotels and resorts in Australia, Fiji, Brunei and Thailand. Most recently he was GM of two hotels in Bangkok.
RICHARD SIMMONS has become the new general manager of the Hyatt Regency Hong Kong Tsim Sha Tsui. With a 20-year career in the hotel industry, Simmons has worked in Australia, the UK, UAE, Thailand and the Philippines. Most recently he was the GM at the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Casino Manila.
KUMAR RENOO has been appointed general manager of the Four Points by Sheraton Puchong in Malaysia. He has worked with Starwood for 15 years, including spells at the former Sheraton Subang Hotel & Towers and Sheraton Perdana Resort. Most recently he was GM at the Sheraton and Four Points properties in Langkawi.
PIETER VAN DER HOEVEN has been named as the new general manager of the Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort. This is van der Hoeven’s second spell with Outrigger; until early 2013 he was the company’s vice president of sales & marketing for Asia Pacific, before leaving to manage Raffles’ Cambodian hotels.
SHAENAZ VOSS has been appointed as Fiji Airways‘ new general manager for industry, international & government. The move marks a promotion for Ms Voss, who previously served as general manager of Fiji Link, the domestic and regional subsidiary of Fiji Airways. She first joined the group in 2008.
ZOE SEOW CHING WEI has become the new director of sales at the Four Points by Sheraton Puchong. Ms Seow moves to the new hotel from the Westin Kuala Lumpur, where she held the position of assistant director of sales. She has also previously worked at the Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur.
THOMAS ROBINSON has been announced as the new general manager of Fiji Link, replacing Shaenaz Voss. Robinson moves into the role having previously served as Fiji Airways’ general manager for maintenance & engineering. He will celebrate his 25th anniversary at Fiji Airways this year.
KANTA HANVESAKUL has been announced as the new director of rooms at the Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Hotel in Bangkok. Ms Kanta has worked in the hotel industry since 2000, including spells with the Shangri-La, Banyan Tree and Novotel. Most recently she worked with Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort.
CYRILLE MOLLE has become the new executive chef at the Raffles Beijing. Chef Cyrille brings more than 18 years of culinary experience to the hotel, including spells in Europe and Asia. He was executive chef of the France Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, where he created dishes for nearly 150,000 people.
