ADAM GOLDSTEIN has been named as the new president & chief operating officer of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. A 25-year veteran of Royal Caribbean, Goldstein has spent the last 12 years as president & CEO of the company’s largest cruise brand, Royal Caribbean International.
YVES MUDRY has been appointed general manager of the Sofitel So Bangkok. A graduate of the École hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland, Mudry has 16 years’ experience in Southeast Asia including spells in Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam. Most recently he was GM of Le Méridien Saigon.
RICHARD DEUTL has become general manager of the St Regis Chengdu, which is scheduled to open in July 2014. Deutl has more than seven years of management experience in China, having served as general manager of Sheraton hotels in Tianjin and Wuxi. He first joined Starwood back in 1988.
PHILIPPE LECLUSE has been appointed general manager of the U Sapa Vietnam. He arrives at Absolute Hotel Services with more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, including senior managerial positions across Asia, Europe and the Middle East with Accor, Hyatt and IHG.
JACQUELINE ALBERT PENSYL has been announced as the new director of sales of the Silka Cheras Kuala Lumpur. She joins the Dorsett property, which is scheduled to open on 23 April, from the nearby ibis Kuala Lumpur Cheras, and has previously worked with Melia, Holiday Inn and Shangri-La.
PARIVA RUSTAGI has been announced as Hilton Worldwide’s new regional director of sales for India. With a career spanning two decades, Ms Rustagi has worked with companies including Marriott, Shangri-La and Oberoi. Most recently she was director of national sales for Marriott in India.
JEFFREY TAN has been appointed to the position of director of events at Pan Pacific Singapore. The move marks a return to Pan Pacific for Tan, who previously served in the company’s Singapore sales team. Most recently, he oversaw the MICE sales and attractions at Resorts World Sentosa.
STELLA CHOW has become the new director of marketing & sales at the Lanson Place Hotel, Hong Kong. Ms Chow brings 25 years of experience to the role, including spells with Hyatt and Mandarin Oriental. Prior to joining Lanson Place she was director of business development at Passkey International.
MANISH PRATAP has been promoted to the role of executive assistant manager of revenue & rooms at the Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket. An Indian national, Pratap joined the resort in 2012 as director of revenue management. He has previous experience with Hyatt, Hilton and Movenpick.
