AccorHotels has revealed its new flagship Novotel in London’s Canary Wharf will open to guests later this year.
The Novotel Canary Wharf is situated at 40 Marsh Street and at 127 metres high is set to be one of the tallest buildings in the area. The hotel will comprise of 313 rooms including 26 suites. It will also offer nine meeting rooms and breakout areas, all of which will have innovative and individual designs.
Launched in 1967, Novotel is a 4-star international midscale brand for business & leisure travellers, with hotels located in the heart of major international cities, business districts and tourist destinations.
Speaking of the impending opening Thomas Dubaere, managing director of AccorHotels UK & Ireland commented: “We’re excited to make this announcement. More information will follow in due course including details of the cutting edge restaurant and bar concepts included in the hotel and the building’s sustainability credentials. Canary Wharf will be the flagship Novotel for AccorHotels UK & Ireland and will significantly strengthen our portfolio.”

The hotel is a marquee investment for AccorHotels’ HotelInvest division, which was formed in November 2013 when the group took the decision to split its business into two distinct fields of expertise: HotelServices, a hotel operator and franchisor, and HotelInvest, a hotel owner and investor.
Novotel Canary Wharf is one of 33 Novotels in the UK, and worldwide joins a network of 428 Novotels, offering 83,340 rooms across 61 countries.
