Travel 2 has reported a nine per cent year on year increase in bookings to Australia and New Zealand.
In response to the increase in interest in both destinations, the Australia and New Zealand 2016/17 brochure will feature an expanded travel programme, including 67 new hotels and 47 new day tours.
As an extra incentive for agents to welcome the brochure, which is due to land the week of 7 November, the worldwide specialist is giving agents the chance to win £200 worth of Australian wine. Travel agents who make a qualifying booking to any of the areas featured within the new Australia and New Zealand brochure, including return flights and a minimum of five nights’ ground arrangements, will be entered into the prize draw. All qualifying bookings must be made before 6 December 2016.
With marked regional growth throughout Australia, the worldwide tour operator has added 43 new hotels across all states. In Sydney, which enjoyed an 11 per cent increase, the new brochure also incorporates information on local tours and events during key periods to help agents better plan their customers’ itineraries.
To ensure agents can tailor-make trips to their clients’ specific requirements, Travel 2 has also included 26 extra day tours, which vary from swimming with wild dolphins in Port Stephens, to a scenic flight over the Whitsunday Islands, plus five new self-drive packages that allow travellers to savour Australia’s food and wine regions at their own pace. These are complemented by a range of new extended tours in the Northern Territory which ensure guests can experience the outback’s natural beauty.
Travel 2 has also added 21 new day tours to help agents cater for customers keen to explore as much as possible on their journey to Middle-Earth, including a two-hour guided Rebuild Bike Tour showcasing Christchurch’s modern city vision.
