A travel agent will be chosen as Costa Diadema’s godmother, Costa Cruises has announced.

The cruise line has launched a competition running from July to September where one agent from its travel partners will be named as the new ship’s godmother.

The ship will be christened in Genoa on 7 November and offer guests the chance to attend the inaugural event and/or its first cruises.

Facilities will include split-level interconnected rooms that overlook the sea to give the feeling of a seaside resort. The ship will also have the largest Promenade in the Costa fleet with a 500-metre walkway inspired by famous Italian shorelines.

Two Jacuzzis will be positioned along the Promenade that extend from the side of the ship to create the feeling of being suspended over the sea.

Bars and restaurants will overlook the promenade including a Japanese, Italian and Mediterranean options.
