Voyages to Antiquity has unveiled its final line-up of onboard speakers and shore excursions in its updated 2018 brochure. 

Aegean Odyssey

With an average of two experts now confirmed per voyage, each complements the places visited by providing insights through daily lectures.

Key speakers confirmed for cruise itineraries on board MV Aegean Odyssey in 2018 include:

· The Old Norse linguist: An expert on the mythology and literary culture of Scandinavia, Dr Tom Birkett will showcase his ‘old Norse’ language skills and Viking knowledge on the Iceland, Faroes and Shetland cruise. Prices for the 16-day cruise from London (UK) departing on 7 July and again on 5 August 2017 start from £2,995 per person.

· The glaciologist: Those looking forward to joining Aegean Odyssey in Malaga for a cruise up the Guadalquivir River to Seville will be joined by one of the world’s foremost authorities on geology and glaciology, the environmental scientist Professor David Drewry. Prices for the 12-day Moorish Odyssey cruise from Malaga to Tenerife (Spain) departing on 10 November 2018 start from £2,345 per person.

· The ornithologist: As an ornithologist and research ecologist, Peter Mawby will give guests onboard the Iceland, Faroes and Shetlands cruise an overview of the wildlife around them. Prices for the 16-day cruise from London (UK) departing on 7 July and again on 5 August 2017 start from £2,995 per person.

· The wine guru: Nancy Gilchrist will bring her vast viticulture knowledge to The Three Rivers cruise that includes a cruise along the Seine, the Loire and the Gironde. The 15-day cruise costs from £2,695 per person based on 20 August 2018 departure.

The 2018 Voyages to Antiquity summer programme features six new itineraries and maiden visits to the Norwegian Fjords. The 2018 line up also includes new extended overland tours. The cultural cruise line is offering three itineraries featuring a five day pre-cruise hotel stay, the Aegean Experience, allowing guests to visit some of the most important archaeological sites in ancient Greece; Delphi, once considered the centre of the world, Mycenae and Nauplia.
